Honorable Mention
This was Geo's mid-contest favorite, so we wanted to recognize this great verse with a Jamglue t-shirt. Congratulations
Note: Make sure you use headphones, so that the sample track doesn't get recorded into your microphone! (It will play automatically when you hit record)
Recording Instructions:
- Hit ACTIVATE RECORDER, then hit "Allow" to activate your microphone. When you're ready, hit RECORD. The recorder will ask you to "please wait" for a few seconds while it prepares the backing track.
- When the music starts in your headphones, record your version into your microphone! When you're done hit the stop button, or just let the backing track finish. You can cut your recording off early if you want.
-
You can hit the play button to hear your recording.
If you like it, hit SAVE to go on.
If you don't, hit CLEAR to record again.
Note: This preview is of your recording only; you may hear silence for the parts where you didn't add vocals. - After you save your recording, we'll process it for a minute and line it up against the Blue Scholars' backing track. When the processing is done, you'll see a box below that will let you listen to the results and publish!

About Geologic
Geologic, aka Geo, does vocals and rhymes for Blue Scholars.
Geologic came on the scene simultaneously through the battle circuit and as a spoken word poet. Drawing from both experiences, his rhymes seek to build and destroy at once, a balance of imagery and wordplay with a sharpened analysis and an unapologetically critical world view.
Emcees who have influenced him, in no particular order: Nas (poetic), Rakim (delivery, voice), Ras Kass (organic intellectualism), 2Pac (complexity, duality), E-40 (slang, swagger), Boots (politics), Aceyalone (conceptuality), KRS-One (authority), Chuck D (articulation), Common (introspection), Paris (fearlesness), Pharaohe Monch (wordplay).
