About the Showcase

Jamglue is excited to bring you the tracks for "True Skool" by Ninja Tune recording artist Coldcut! You can use these fantastic tracks to create or enhance your own remixes! Here are some quick tips for how to get started:

  1. Start a new mix containing one or more "True Skool" tracks. The easiest way to do this is to click "Start Mixing Now!" below and then "SAVE A COPY" in the mixer to create your own version of the song.
  2. Remix the song by adding new sounds, rearranging the clips, etc. Be creative, and don't forget to publish your mix when you're done so that other people can hear it!
  3. Promote your mix by embedding it in your blog/MySpace and emailing a link to all of your friends. Every time someone marks your mix as a favorite, it counts as a vote. Even though this isn't a contest, all mixes will be shown below, and the most popular mixes will rise to the top!

About the Artist

Most people come into music, do the same thing for a few years, slowly sink back into obscurity and spend the rest of their life collecting publishing royalties and re-forming for tribute tours. Their biographies can afford to be quite short – most of us aren’t that interested in golf or angling. COLDCUT / "SOUND MIRRORS" SHOWCASE OFFICIAL RULES

These Official Rules ("Rules") govern your participation in
Coldcut / "Sound Mirrors" Remix Showcase ("Showcase"). Participation
in the Showcase constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to
and acceptance of these Rules; so, it is important that you read and
understand them.

1. Sponsors: The Showcase is sponsored and run by Jamglue Inc.,
headquartered at 214 Summit Ave. E #302, Seattle, WA 98102 USA, ph.
1-206-284-9430 and Ninja Tune, PO Box 4296, London,
SE11 4WW, UK.

2. How to Participate: The Sponsors are offering you the chance to 
engage in a creative dialogue with Ninja Tune artist Coldcut.  To
participate, create and publish a mix containing tracks 
from Coldcut's "True Skool," which have been made available 
at the Showcase page at http://www.jamglue.com/contests/coldcut.
Remixes may additionally include music you create yourself, and/or 
material in the public domain, and/or other material you have express
permission to use and license in accordance with Rule 5.

For the avoidance of doubt, you acknowledge and agree that the
musical tracks available at http://www.jamglue.com/contests/coldcut 
are licensed for use under the Creative Commons Attribution 
Non-Commercial Share Alike 2.5 license (and that all rights that are 
not expressly granted under this license are reserved by Ninja Tune). 
You further acknowledge and agree that you must attribute Coldcut as
well as Ninja Tune whenever you use the Ninja Tune musical tracks (ie.
"Remix using elements from Coldcut/Ninja Tune"), but not in such a way as
to imply any endorsement, approval or affiliation with or by Coldcut
or Ninja Tune.

Any materials that infringe the rights of any third party (ie. 
materials used without express permission of the copyright owner)
may not be used.

IF YOU USE CONTENT THAT YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE, YOUR REMIX
MAY BE REMOVED FROM THIS PAGE, AND THE JAMGLUE.COM WEBSITE.

Any person or group may make as many participating remixes as he desires.

3. What others may do with your remix(es): By creating a remix as
part of the Showcase on http://www.jamglue.com, you agree to license
that remix to the rest of the world under a Creative Commons
Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike 2.5 license available at
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/. All eligible
remixes will be made available to the general public for download on
the http://www.jamglue.com website under the Creative Commons
Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike 2.5 license. Sponsors reserve
the right to evaluate each remix's eligibility under the Rules as well
as for compliance with the US Copyright Act and any and all other
applicable laws. Entries may be removed from the
http://www.jamglue.com site at the discretion of the Sponsors. By
submitting a remix, you are representing and warranting that the
content in your remix is authorized to be remixed by you and is licensed
to the general public under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial
Share Alike 2.5 license. By submitting your mix, you also agree and
acknowledge that you will receive no royalties from Sponsors, other
contestants, or members of the general public who use your track consistent
with the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike 2.5
license.

Sponsors may modify or edit remixes to ensure the audio 
quality or for any purpose that Sponsors deem necessary or desirable. 
Sponsors reserve the right to undertake, or to instruct its 
representatives to undertake, such reasonable editing or 
modifications. 

4. General Terms and Conditions: By participating, entrants agree
that the Sponsors' parties are not responsible or liable for, and are
released and held harmless from: (i) telephone, electronic, hardware
or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions,
failures, or difficulties of any kind; (ii) any condition caused by
events beyond the control of Sponsors that may cause the Showcase to be
disrupted or corrupted; (iii) any printing or typographical errors in
any materials associated with the Showcase; (iv) any and all losses,
damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with or
resulting from participation in the Showcase or acceptance of any
prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and
property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or
invasion of privacy. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole
discretion, to suspend or cancel Showcase at any time if a computer
virus, bug, or other technical problem pretation, and
enforceabihowcasey choicd cause the application of the laws of
any jurisdiction other than the State of Washington.
5. Privacy: By entering into this Showcase you consent to the use of
your name as set out in the Jamglue Privacy Policy available at:
http://www.jamglue.com/help/privacy_policy regarding use of all
material entered and/or submitted for this Showcase or otherwise
collected by the Jamglue site.

6. DMCA Compliance: Sponsors comply with the provisions of the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). In compliance with the DMCA,
a Designated Agent has been established with proper documentation sent
to the US Copyright Office. If you have a concern regarding the use of
copyrighted material on the Jamglue site, please contact the agent
designated to respond to reports alleging copyright infringement. The
designated agent for Jamglue to receive notification of claimed
infringement under Title II of the DMCA is:
