A quick lil preview for two tracks that are gonna be on my next album. I'll be using different beats for the tracks. Btw about the part at the end where I overlap the beats, I didn't actually know they synched up until I put em on top of eachother, I just used em cause they sounded good. Go figure. Beats used: Lil Wayne - Outstanding (The "Q") Fort Minor - Slip Out The Back (Quarantine) [THE "Q"] They said I was sick, they said I had the flu, So they locked me in this place and they callin it The "Q", Took me outta society, and kept me away, Used these bars I'm writin and constructed a cage, Locked the fuckin door and then threw away the key, Re-inforced that shit hopin I ain't gon get free, Told me they'd only keep me here until I got better, But that's a fuckin lie cause Imma be sick forever, That's right, I'm ill and you can't catch my disease, I am down with the sickness, ragin against the machine, Don't be thinkin that I'm clean, cause in fact I'm the opposite, The type the poison control operatives have a problem wit, Problems? I'm on top of it, just call me the fixer, The storyteller, one who gets a thousand words out of a picture, Or maybe I'm a trickster, I will get you thinkin, That you're safe till I assasinate you like they did to Lincoln, But I'm trapped, even though I just came back, And these dudes runnin they mouths is about to get smacked, Lil mawfuckers talkin bout guns and shit, But guns might miss, I rely on my one tight fist, Go head, doubt me, but just look at my list, It's the dudes I gotta murk, and you're on top of it, snitch, I don't give a shit about a bitch, cause my styles perfected, And all this because they tried to claim I'm infected. [QUARANTINE] I look around, and what do I see, Hundreds of trapped, broken people just wishin to be free, Kept here against their will, I can see, And all because of some alleged disease, This is what they do if you don't meet their standards, Give you barely enough food and just leave you stranded, We feelin so abandoned, forgotten and confused, Cast aside, neglected and abused, They don't care who you are, don't care where you from, They don't care no matter what they will throw you in this dump, Right now, things is lookin kinda bad, They've thrown away any shred of hope we ever had, Just look around, we ain't doin so good, We've been misguided and mistreated and misunderstood, And I wish we could, just get outta this place, Instead of seein so many lives go to waste, It makes me wonder why I'm here on this earth, Makes me question what my life is worth, As the higher-ups are fightin their wars unseen, We're stuck down here in this quarantine. I see this kid, he looks about eight, Hard to believe it but he's sufferin such a terrible fate, Cougin up blood and he's havin trouble breathin, He can't get to sleep n he don't feel like eatin, I see a dude, he's about my age, Tells me he hasn't put the kids to bed in god knows how many days, He says "I miss my woman, I think about her every night," "I miss my damn home, and I miss my life," I see a man whose goin thru hell, With blood shot eyes and he can't speak very well, In a hoarse voice he tells me this: "We gotta keep our heads up, stay positive and never quit," What he says hits me quick, I guess we gotta make it work, As I hear a baby cryin to his momma cause his tummy hurts, So what's ya money worth, can it get us outta here? When we livin in fear, cause the future's so unclear, It makes me wonder why I'm here on this earth, Makes me question what my life is worth, As the higher-ups are fightin their wars unseen, We're stuck down here in this quarantine.
