Saint Etha (Jermaine Carter) is a hip-hop artist from Texas (Lubbock, Fort Worth, Dallas) since July of 2006 where he first aspired to be a DJ. Formerly known as DJ Jaroc, Yung Tex, and Young Profit among other names, Saint Etha decided to pursue a career in the hip-hop industry as a rapper after feeling that the rap game is losing its identity. "I just feel there is too much acting and rehearsing," Carter says "and not enough people being true to themselves and hip-hop. Young rappers, now, are about dancing songs, and if this is the new wave of music, then I have to try and save hip-hop. Too many cats are trying to skip steps in the game. They try to start out with fake jewelry and claim that they have money to the ceiling, I'm true to me, so I don't claim to have all these stacks. I'm still tucking mine in the mattress."
In July 2006, Jermaine Carter started Southern Royalty Entertainment[1] in which he, and good friend Ace Williams, created in the hopes of bringing their opinions to a larger audience. Plans were put on hold when Jermaine Carter was incarcerated in 2006. [1]....
Jermaine Carter then spent three months in ....Fort Worth.., ..Texas....; where he credits much of his street knowledge. Upon arriving back in ....Lubbock.., ..Texas...., he and Ace Williams once again focused on furthering their rap aspirations. Focusing on lyrics, the two attempted to record music at various studios until they planned to do it on their own.....
Facing many criticisms, prejudices and stereotypes, being a white rapper from the south, Saint Etha focused on being a lyricist (despite many people from other areas West Coast, East Coast etc. that say the south has no lyricists). Some claim he is arrogant and some claim he is "too aggressive" and his music is "unfit for the common listener, as his lyrics glorify weapons and drug dealing." Carter responds, "I communicate what has happened in my life. My struggle. My pain. If anybody has something to say, then find my number or quit listening. I am true to my craft."....
Recently, Saint Etha has been focusing on his music, as opposed to living life through dealing drugs and getting in fights. This, coming after Ace Williams, also known as Ace Real, was incarcerated Summer of 2008. [2] "It just struck real close to home, that, I may be the next cat that is pulled off these streets. I love my momma and I plan on taking care of her. I can't do that from a jail cell." Carter explains, "I just miss my brother, I'm trying my best to do things here on the outside."....
Carter also has started a minor clothing line on the internet, called 'Marchin Saints Clothing' [2] and is now working on a mixtape entitled 'The Prequel', set for release late 2008 or early 2009. Carter has said he plans to release it after Ace Real has been released from jail so that he can appear on the cd.....

His latest projects can be found on the sites above. 'Diary Of A Hitman', the featured song on his mixtape has been praised by many people, yet has not been widely viewed enough to have serious criticism. "I love all feedback, hate it or love it, the kid [Saint] Etha is here to stay." He is also currently appearing on songs by fellow Southern Royalty rock/rapcore band 'Through The Eyes Of The City'[7]. The band includes younger brother (Lil' Benji) and good friend (Killa King). Saint Etha has also stated he plans to work on many other various projects with Southern Royalty members Ace Real and Young Flo, and Yung One among others...
