I think it is really important to learn of the holocaust because it was a big tragedy and we learn not to have so much hatred towards others because of their race and ethnicity. By remembering the holocaust we show compassion toward the holocaust survivors and the many people who lost loved ones. Remembering also helps us learn from the mistakes that occurred in the holocaust and prevents these tragedies from happening again.


I think that the holocaust applies to all people because it teaches us to treat everyone how you would want to treated. And it is important not to just single out a culture and blame a entire country for the problem of a troubled nation. Hitler got away with what he did by fueling his campaign against Jews the by use of hate, no tolerance, and a negative out put of the Jewish faith. He offered them hope and a new better world at the cost of there souls. Germany might as well have died when the first camp went up, because it was like they were giving into the idea that a genocide was the only way to raise a country from it’s knees. This is why I think the Holocaust applies to all people.
